08/13/07 Reporting, Analysis, and Planning System Update
We are pleased to announce that Cognos 8 Planning and Business Intelligence products have been selected to address the Reporting, Analysis, and Planning needs that were identified in our interviews with you as part of the initial phase of the project.
Many representatives from across the University participated in the software selection process. The process included a Request for Proposal (RFP) sent to selected vendors, vendor demonstrations, case studies, and technical reviews. The decision to select Cognos was arrived at after detailed analysis and group discussions. It was determined that Cognos is the best fit as a tool to help us accomplish our goals.
The RAPS project team is excited to begin the next phase of the project and look forward to your continued support and enthusiasm. A replacement for budget submission and a new tool for HRMS ad hoc reporting will be the first applications to utilize Cognos 8. Updates on implementation plans will be forthcoming.
